In JOIN, data is synchronized across all sections. You can modify the 3D model and see the updated Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and the adjusted Gantt chart in real time.
You can select a task in the Gantt chart to see which elements it refers to in Revit or the IFC file.
You can select an element in the 3D model to see its corresponding line item in the BoQ or identify the task it belongs to.
Finally, you can select a row in the integrated spreadsheet and see its corresponding element in the 3D model.
WBS
JOIN manages the project’s WBS (Work Breakdown Structure).
The WBS can be created manually or generated by cross-referencing the various groups used in the Bill of Quantities (BoQ).
The WBS can also be generated directly from the elements within the 3D model.
Tasks are then assigned to the WBS, allowing for the automatic generation of the Gantt chart.
Styles
Styles are a unique feature of JOIN because they are centralized. Once a style is defined, it can be used to describe an item within the spreadsheet or to generate any print report. A single modification to the style automatically updates all sections across JOIN.
Attachments
JOIN’s attachments are a standout feature: you can insert links to any type of external file (docx, xlsx, ifc, dwg, pdf, etc.) and link them directly to price list items, BoQ line items, 3D model elements, or your print documents.
This makes a JOIN project a compact yet powerful document management system. All project attachments are then transferred to the WEB for seamless sharing with all stakeholders.
Rules
Calculation rules are at the core of JOIN’s functionality. Every rule starts with a filter applied to the 3D model elements. If you use Revit, you can directly leverage the program’s native filtering functions to identify the elements involved; alternatively, JOIN provides an advanced filtering system for IFC file elements.
Once filtered, elements are associated with one or more items from the reference price lists. Quantities are then automatically calculated using parameters from either Revit or the IFC file.
Custom print
JOIN allows you to configure print reports exactly as you wish. You can generate reports by pulling BIM data into any column defined in your spreadsheet. The layout is decided by the user, not the software. Finally, all data can be printed using centralized Styles for a consistent and professional look.
Spreadsheet
A spreadsheet perfectly compatible with Excel, integrated directly into JOIN! A true game-changer! No more exporting data to Excel: the spreadsheet is built-in and the data is always synchronized. Modify the 3D model, and the spreadsheet updates instantly, including all its Pivot tables and charts.
*Select a row within the spreadsheet and see exactly which 3D model element it corresponds to: a true revolution in your workflow! And if that’s not enough, you can still export your sheets to .xlsx to open them in Excel anytime.
Data exchange
Share your JOIN data using a true BIM-oriented approach. In addition to its native format, JOIN imports data from RVT, IFC, DOCX, XLSX, XPWE, HTML, and XML, and exports to DOCX, XLSX, HTML, CSV, DBF table, JSON, and PDF.
Full compatibility with MS Project is guaranteed via XML export.
